There are many opportunities for volunteers at our museum in McMinnville. Volunteer opportunities include:

Docent: 
  • Greet the public
  • Protect the exhibits
  • Provide security in the Museum
Processing of Artifacts:
  • Accessioning
  • Cataloging
  • Preservation
Education Programs
  • Pioneer Days
  • Travelling Wagon Program
  • Curriculum development
Events:
  • Planning for events
  • Set up and clean up for events, staffing booths, etc.
Library / Archive / Research:
  • Assist patrons with research questions, filing and special research projects for exhibits work
Maintenance:
  • Keep the displays and exhibits in the Museum clean and in good repair
  • Assist with after event clean up and other duties relating to the upkeep of the Museum
Administration:
  • Data entry, correspondence, filing, etc.
Marketing:
  • Photography
  • Content development for brochures, website, and newsletter
  • Promotional material for special events
  • Public speaking duties
Restoration:
  • Requires special technical knowledge to work on agriculture and other equipment belonging to the Society’s Permanent Collection.
